Skijoring

The annual World Skijoring Championships will be held at the Whitefish City Airport on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26-27, with racing starting at noon. Spectators can get in free but there will be a $5 charge for parking. Location is at the east end of Second Street in Whitefish near the dog park. Vendors will sell food and drinks.

Baseball practice

Columbia Falls Baseball will hold winter workouts beginning Feb. 11 at Ruder Elementary School on Mondays and Tuesdays for 8, 9 and 10-year-old players and Thursdays and Fridays for 11 and 12-year-old players from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A parent or guardian must accompany players at the first practice to sign insurance forms. Booster Club merchandise

The Columbia Falls High School Booster Club has merchandise for sale at Kopy Kats, in the Falls Station shopping center on the U.S. 2 strip. Kopy Kats is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Snow Joke run

The 34th annual Snow Joke Half Marathon race will take place in Seeley Lake on Feb. 23. The 13.1-mile race is sponsored by the Cheetah Herders Athletic Club and is USA Track and Field Montana’s 2012 half marathon championship race. Last year, 538 racers participated.
