Phyllis Mollberg-Sienknecht

Phyllis Owen Mollberg-Sienknecht passed away from natural causes on March 18, 2013, at her home in Kalispell.

She was born and spent most of her childhood west of Opheim. She attended college in Duluth, Minn., and graduated with a teaching degree.

Phyllis moved to Kettle Falls, Wash., to teach, where she met and married Brian Sienknecht. After retiring, Phyllis and Brian moved to West Glacier, where both were very active. In 1999, she was honored as the Democratic Woman of the Year.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara, of California, and son Steven, of Kalispell; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will take place at the Shining Mountain Church, 475 Eighth Ave. East North, in Kalispell, on Monday, July 29, at noon. Graveside services will follow at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a favorite charity.
