Entry deadlines posted for Northwest Montana Fair

The deadline to enter 4-H, FFA and Open Class livestock competitions and events at this year’s Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo is 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 or as indicated by the department they are entering. No late entries will be accepted.

Entry forms are available online at www.nwmtfair.com, at the fairgrounds office and in the back of the 2013 premium book, which is available for free at local chambers of commerce and county library branches. Competitors may also mail, fax, or deliver registrations to the fairgrounds office.

The theme of this year’s fair is “Let’s Ride!” and runs Aug. 14-18 at the Flathead County Fairgrounds. The fair will feature a night of Cruising the Oldies with live performances by Shirelles original lead singer Shirley Alston Reeves, The Fleetwoods, Brian Hyland, and Johnny Tillotson on Tuesday, Aug. 13. Country music star Chris Young will take the stage on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

There will also be three nights of PRCA Rodeo action on Aug. 15 – 17 and a demolition derby to close out the fair on Aug. 18. Tickets for the Cruising the Oldies and Chris Young concerts, PRCA Rodeo, and Demolition Derby can be purchased at the fairgrounds office or online at www.nwmtfair.com.
