Mark Hindahl

Mark “Doc” Erwin Hindahl, 63, of rural Havana, Ill., passed away June 13, 2013, at his home.

He was born Oct. 3, 1949, in Pekin, Ill., to Harold and Loretta (Baker) Hindahl.

Mark worked as a park ranger and in law enforcement in Montana. He was injured in the line of duty in 1987 and retired on disability.

He is survived by his parents, of Manito, Ill.,; sons Robert Hindahl, of Sherwood, Ore., and Jeremiah Hindahl and wife and Jennifer, of Havana; daughter April Rutherford and husband Mark, of Kalispell; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister Jonni Mills and husband Donald, of Columbia Falls; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life gathering took place June 19, 2013, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, Ill.. Burial of his cremated remains will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls at a later date.
