The Glacier All-Stars 15U baseball team used their big bats to win a pair of tournaments this month.

The team took the Father’s Day Tournament with a 7-5 win over tourney host Kalispell. AJ Wetch picked up the victory on the mound as Glacier led the entire way.

Jesse Walburn was 4-4 at the plate to lead the team. Luke May went 3-4 with a triple and two singles.

At the Glacier Invite last weekend, the All-Stars topped Kalispell again in the championship game 18-12.

“This one was a run-fest,” said coach Brent Wetsch.

Glacier scored four runs in the first inning, but Kalispell countered with a big eight-run inning.

The All-Stars broke the game open in the fourth with eight runs, then added four more in the sixth.

Johnny Sapa won on the mound. Tristan Steinwand and AJ Wetch both went 4-5 at the plate. Colton Parker crushed a two-run homer over center field in the sixth.

The All-Stars play in the Ed Gallo Tournament in Whitefish this weekend. They look to defend their state title at the state tournament July 17-21, set to take place at Memorial Field.
