Sports physicals
Columbia Falls High School will offer physicals good for the 2013-2014 school year at the high school gym on Thursday, May 30, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Cost is $20 per athlete. Students should pick up a form in the high school office from activities director Troy Bowman ahead of time. Parental signature and assistance is needed to correctly and completely fill out the necessary forms.
Paddle triathlon
The Kalispell Athletic Club will host a paddle triathlon in Bigfork on Sunday, May 26, beginning at 9 a.m. at the River Road bridge two miles south of Bigfork on Highway 209. The event will include a 4-mile flat-water paddle, a 14-mile bike ride on paved roads and a 4-mile run. Register online at www.kalispellathleticclub.net or at the Garden Bar at 8 a.m. on race day. Hole in one
Keith Woznesensky, of Columbia Falls, used a 7-iron to ace the 160-yard sixth hole at Eagle Bend Gold Club on May 13. His shot came during the Western Montana Chapter of the PGA Tournament. Witnesses included Kyle Long, Dan Purcell, Lauren McClung and Mike Jones. This was Woznesensky’s 12th career ace.
B-ball tourney
The first ever “Wildcat Classic” boys and girls varsity basketball tournament is scheduled for July 20 and 21 at Columbia Falls High School. The tourney is open to teams from across Western Montana.
