The juggernaut that is the Billings Central girls soccer team proved to be too much for the Lady Bulldogs.

The Rams scored three first-half goals en route to capturing their sixth consecutive Class A girls soccer state title Saturday with a 4-1 win over Whitefish at Rocky Mountain College in Billings.

Billings Central (15-0-0) dominated the pace of play in the first half. Outstanding stops by Whitefish goalkeeper Piper Greenwood kept the Dogs alive early, but in the 8th minute Rams standout striker Allie Lucas put in her state-best 33rd goal of the season.

She followed with another score in the 15th minute.

Mariah Wittman tallied for the Rams again on a set play in the 34th minute to make it 3-0 at the half.

Whitefish senior Caroline Carbo put in goal six minutes into the second half, but Central quickly countered with a penalty kick.

Billings Central outshot Whitefish 17-7.

Whitefish wrapped up their successful season with a 12-3-0 record.
