Booster Club winter kick-off
The Columbia Falls Booster Club will hold its Winter Sports Kickoff in the Columbia Falls High School cafeteria on Monday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. All high school winter sports participants, coaches and parents are invited to attend. A free spaghetti dinner will be provided by the Booster Club while coaches introduce their teams and discuss the season. Athletic director Troy Bowman will also hold a brief parents meeting.
Glacier Twins garland
The Glacier Twins American Legion baseball team players installed nearly 13,000 feet of evergreen Christmas garland over the past two weekends at businesses and homes in and around Columbia Falls and Whitefish. Placed end to end, this would add up to roughly 2 1/2 miles. Any businesses or homes that were missed or would like garland can call Lindsay Fansler at 471-4897 or Connie Lockman at 862-9011. The Twins hope to finish hanging garland by next weekend.
Bowling benefit
The Columbia Falls Women’s Bowling Association is seeking letters of recommendation for anyone in need so the committee can choose a person or group for their annual bowling benefit on Feb. 14-16. Letters can be sent to CFWBA. Manager, 903 Scenic Drive, Columbia Falls MT 59912. Deadline is Jan. 1.
Bowling raffle
Columbia Falls Junior Bowlers will hold their Thanksgiving Basket drawing on Nov. 25. Donations of food are appreciated. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 available at the Glacier Lanes bowling alley or from a junior bowler.
