Klothes Kloset announces annual donations

The Klothes Kloset in Columbia Falls will hold its Christmas Store on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with toys, jewelry, collectibles, a variety of household items and lap robes.

Church Women United sponsors the Klothes Kloset at the corner of Railroad Street and Nucleus Avenue. It’s open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Kris Skyberg, manager.

The Church Women United board designated $8,450 for donations this year to various organizations, including $100 to the National Church Women United and State Church Women United; $200 to Literacy Volunteers of Flathead County, community dinners and Special Olympics; $250 to the Agency on Aging; $300 to Hope Pregnancy; $400 to the Nurturing Center, CASA, ALERT and Lighthouse; $500 to the Samaritan House, Boys and Girls Club and Abbie Shelter; and $1,000 to the Columbia Falls Fire Department, Three Rivers Ambulance and North Valley Senior Citizens.

The Church Women United officers are Betty Henneberg, president; Marion Fisher, vice president; Marion Andrew, secretary; and Joan Smith and Irene Ladenburg, treasurers.

Representatives of sponsoring churches are Marilyn Allen, St. Richard’s Catholic; Clarice Brooks, All Saints Episcopal; Rosemary Christiansen, Our Savior’s Lutheran; and Marion Andrew, United Methodist.
