Columbia Falls will send one golfer to the state Class A tournament in Polson on Oct. 4-5.

Henry Chisholm was the lone qualifier for the Wildcats this year, shooting 97 on the South Course at Whitefish Lake Golf Course to take 13th in the Flatfish Tournament on Sept. 26.

“Henry did a great job by playing smart golf and hanging in there when he made a few bad shots,” said Coach Gene Marcille. “It’s a good accomplishment making it to state out of our conference, which is probably the toughest in the state. Henry earned it.”

The top 15 golfers qualify for the state tournament. No Columbia Falls girls qualified for state tournament.

Both the boys and girls teams finished last in the tournament. The boys had an overall score of 422, and the girls shot 550. Whitefish won both team titles.

Other Columbia Falls results included:

Boys — Gabe Love, 101, Grant Wallace, 107, Mason Fetters, 117, and Joey Tamburelli, 123.

Girls — Britney Cotton, 127, Baylee Brinton, 131, Shea Lefebvre, 146, Olivia Lewis-Peterson, 146, Ali Gould, 146.
