Need senators support of North Fork

Thanks to our Congressional delegation, who unanimously support the North Fork Protection Act. Unfortunately, three senators from Texas, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania seem to find that politics are more important than clean water. These three senators apparently know more about Montana’s future and desires than our own congressional delegation.

Offering a bit of honey, we have written each or these three senators offering, in appreciation for their future support for the bill, a hosted fishing and floating trip down the North Fork of the Flathead this summer.

We will provide the rafts and fishing gear and great lunches while the North Fork will provide the splendor. We trust that when they see the multi-colored boulders beneath the crystal clear water passing beneath them, they will better understand.

When they hook a wild westslope cutthroat or glance up at the towering peaks, they will appreciate why some rivers are much better left as we found them. We believe they will understand why the Chamber of Commerce supports this bill that insures the North Fork will continue to contribute to Montana’s tourism-related economy.

We also invite you and your families to join us and these three senators in the float we hope will occur celebrating keeping this special corner of Montana something to pass on to our children as we found it. We hope they will take the honey, support the bill and visit Montana’s North Fork this summer.
