Albert Trenkle

Albert R. “Art” Trenkle passed away Jan. 22, 2014, at Brendon House.

He was born May 28, 1927, at East Glacier to Eula and Albert “Dutch” Trenkle. He grew up in East Glacier, Columbia Falls and Great Falls.

Art served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Forest Service, at the Flathead National Forest. He was a friend of Bill W’s and was proud of his 46 years of sobriety.

He is survived by his wife Anna of 65 years; his children Randy Trenkle and wife Betty, of Malaga, Wash., Marla Ohmart and husband Jack, of Columbia Falls, and Chad Trenkle and wife Marcia, of Columbia Falls; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

His gentle ways and the great love he showed his family will be missed.

A memorial service will be held this spring for family and friends
