Fall softball program starting up next week

The Columbia Falls Youth Softball Association is working in a partnership with Kalispell Youth Softball Association on starting a fall softball program.

Players can practice during September in Columbia Falls on Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. starting Sept. 4 and in Kalispell on Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. starting Sept. 2. Practices are for fundamentals and drills.

Games scheduled for September at the KYSA KidSports field on U.S. 93 north of Kalispell include 8U and 10U teams every Friday at 6 p.m. and 12U and 14U teams every Saturday, usually a doubleheader

Divisions include 8U for grades K-2 coach-pitch T-ball; 10U for grades 3-4 fast-pitch softball; 12U for grades 5-6 fast-pitch softball; and 14U for grades 7-9 fast-pitch softball.
