Hats off to the Co-op

| December 2, 2014 9:54 AM

In this day of all the modern marvels and high-tech devices we have at our disposal as consumers, certain things are forgotten and just taken for granted.

On Saturday, Nov. 29, when we woke up to an extended electrical power outage, most of those daily conveniences disappeared, and we realized that things like electricity drive our daily lives.

A heartfelt thanks is due to the brave crews of Flathead Electric Cooperative and the subs they may have called in to restore the power to the Meadow Lake Resort area.

Being called out in the middle of the night with severe winter weather to tackle high voltage and very dangerous conditions is very commendable to those employees who worked nearly 10 hours to once again provide us consumers with the daily items we take for granted, like heating and lighting our homes and providing the current that runs all of our electronic devices.

My hats off to all those brave employees who respond to our needs when we need them the most.
