In spirit of the holiday season, Flathead Valley Community College Theatre will bring the world-premiere musical comedy “Cowboy Christmas” to the college’s Kalispell campus Dec. 4-6 and Dec. 11-13.  Performances are at 7 p.m. in the FVCC Theatre in the Arts and Technology Building.

Written and directed by husband and wife FVCC Theatre adjunct professors Nick and Rebecca Spear, this quirky, heart-warming comedy tells the story of a Northwest Montana guest ranch that has fallen on hard financial times. Along with the decision to open during the holidays for the first time, the ranch owners also added a Christmas-themed gift shop to help make ends meet. Will the bank come to repossess the ranch on Christmas? Or will a mystery millionaire guest be consumed by the spirit of giving and save the day? Either way, the Spears are promising a holiday season to remember.

Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 senior citizens and free admission for all students and can be purchased in advance at www.fvcc.edu/theatre or at the FVCC Bookstore Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. or by calling 756-3814. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the FVCC Theatre Box Office prior to showtimes.

In conjunction with the show, FVCC Theatre and the FVCC Veterans Association are hosting a toy drive for Toys for Tots. Each patron who donates an unwrapped toy will be provided free admission into the show. Toy drive drop boxes are available in the FVCC Bookstore and at the FVCC Theatre ticket counter.
