Speakers win Corvallis meet

The Columbia Falls speech and debate team won in Corvallis on Dec. 5-6 behind strong performances from its debate members.

Annabel Conger and Colin Norick won in policy debate, and Caitlyn Long took top honors in Lincoln-Douglas debate.

Samantha Gilk was tops in speech for the team, taking second in expository speaking.

Corvallis set up the meet as a trial run for the state meet in January.

The Wildcats scored 205 points, followed by Hamilton at 115, Stevensville at 109, and Whitefish at 106.
