Hockaday announces People's Choice Award
Ron Ukrainetz, Linda Olsen and Darlene Morgan are this year’s winners in the Hockaday Museum of Art’s People’s Choice Awards in the 2014 Members Salon exhibit.
More than 100 Hockaday artist members participated in the 13th annual Members Salon, showing a broad range of two- and three-dimensional works.
Ron Ukrainetz of Great Falls took first place with his engraving “Flicker’s View.” Kalispell resident Linda Olsen took the second place with “Great Expectations,” a watercolor. A native Montanan, she taught German at Columbia Falls High School for 10 years. Bigfork painter Darlene Morgan took third place honors with her India ink wash “Girl with the Bear Earrings.”
Many of the artists offer their works for sale in the museum. A portion of the proceeds is donated to the Hockaday’s exhibition and education funds.
The public is invited to enjoy all of the art in the exhibit with free admission to the museum, 302 Second Ave East, in Kalispell, on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 26-27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit online at www.HockadayMuseum.org or call 406-755-5268.
