Pantry thankful for support

To the Bigfork Community:

There are no words to express our gratitude for all the turkeys that were donated to the Bigfork Food Pantry for Thanksgiving!

When a plea for turkeys was given to the community the response was overwhelming.

Special thanks go to Doug and Nancy Mahlum, their staff, and club members who donated 50 turkeys through a “turkey drop” sponsored by the Montana Athletic Club.

Bent Petersen, Dennis Yarborough, and their friends provided us with 40 turkeys even before they were made aware of our need for turkeys.  We thank them for their faithful support of our pantry.

The Bigfork Chamber of Commerce played a major role in our turkey drive. Director Heather Burnham immediately informed all members of our need and everything was set into action.  It was nothing short of amazing!

Because the Pantry has extremely limited freezer space, Flathead Lake Lodge allowed us to use their freezer to store many of our turkeys.  Then they donated even more turkeys!

Bigfork area churches and many individuals provided us with turkeys, money, and items for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.  We thank them all.

Because of the generosity of the Bigfork community, every family who wanted a turkey was provided one for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. This generosity has provided us with sufficient turkeys for Christmas as well.

Bigfork is indeed a wonderful, special place filled with caring, generous people.  The Pantry is so appreciative of the support we receive from our community.  Thank you so very much!
