Auditions for children's production

| January 9, 2014 2:28 PM

The Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre invites students in grades 2 through 6 to audition, Tuesday, Jan. 7, for the cast of “The Wild, Wild, Wildest West,”  - a Western style ‘meler-drama’ full of heroes, villains and damsels in distress.

Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’, keep the patrons Auditions will be held at the Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre afterschool center from 4 to 5 p.m. for second and third grades, and 5 to 6:30 p.m. for fourth through sixth grades.

Performances are Jan. 24, 25, 31 and Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 26 at 2 p.m.

The production calls for a large cast of around 40. It costs nothing to audition and only $40 to be a part of the show if cast. Please prepare a 30-second monologue or short selection from another play, poem or book (there will be several at the audition if you can’t find one) and plan to learn and sing something at the audition.

Don’t worry if you don’t have experience, they will have materials at the theater for you. Wear comfortable shoes that you can move in, as actors will be moving around the stage.

Not interested in stage work but would like to be involved? Give the playhouse a call. We need help with the technical parts – building sets, props, costumes, lights and sound. Parental and student assistance is welcome.
