ImagineIF review

| January 20, 2014 8:36 AM

I am normally suspicious and had hoped “ImagineIF” as name for a library was just another whim of the county library director and library board to spend taxpayers’ funds.

So be it. Wrong again.

Question: How many thousands of dollars would be required for just printing expenses involved for changing over the system, from stationery to requisitions, library cards, printed materials required for payrolls, daily use, etc.?

I feel that county library information headlining increase in users should be properly broken down to actual books checked out versus computer users, storybook listeners and “actual” library book patrons.

Granted, my memories go back to the Carnegie Library when I was in grade school. Large Dahl sheep in a display case guarded the entrance. It was a library for books and quiet times — not a social hall.

I appreciated the recent letters to the editor agreeing with my viewpoint.
