Rescue group

| January 20, 2014 7:55 AM

On behalf of the Kawaa’pomaakaa Society, the animal rescue group in Browning, I’d like to thank Rev. Bradley Wirth and his congregation at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Whitefish for their most generous donation.

The Kawaa’pomaakaa Society feeds homeless dogs and places puppies and pregnant dogs in various Montana shelters, as Browning has no animal shelter. They also put on three free spay and neuter clinics a year in Browning.

In the last four years, they have spayed or neutered 2,132 animals. Imagine how many more stray dogs would be suffering without their help.

Spay and neuter clinics are the ultimate solution in Browning, and the key to these clinics is education. The All Saints Episcopal Church and other generous Flathead valley residents have contributed $3,000 toward this effort in the last three months.

We’ve also sent 1,500 pounds of dog food to Browning for the homeless dogs, as well as donated dog houses, beds and other needed supplies. If you can help in any way, please contact me at 406-862-5995.
