Heritage tourney

The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be held iin downtown Columbia Falls on Saturday, July 26. Teams will consist of boys and girls in grades 5-6, grades 7-8 and grades 9-12 and men’s open. Registration forms may be picked up at the Chamber office, Columbia Falls Library, Glacier Bank and Orthopedic Rehab or printed off the Web site http://cfallsheritagedays.com. Completed forms must be turned in by July 24 to Orthopedic Rehab, 906 Ninth Street West, in Columbia Falls. Cost per team is $50. For more information, call 892-0681.

Hill top rider

West Glacier bull rider Beau Hill posted a score of 80 and was the top rider at the Bear Paw Roundup rodeo in Chinook on June 21. Riding the bull Canadian Club, Hill was one of three cowboys to record a ride at the event. He is now ranked 13th in the PRCA world bull riding standings.

Lake run

The 37th annual Whitefish Lake Run was held in soggy weather on June 28 with 407 runners in 5K and 10K races.
