Timothy Ward

Timothy Brian Ward, 65, passed away on May 31, 2014.

He was born on June 6, 1948, to Patrick and Gloria Ward in Fort Benning, Ga.   

As a child, he and his family lived in Japan, Germany and Austria and on various military bases in the United States.  

In 1968 and 1969, Tim served in the 9th Artillery Division in Dong Tiem, Vietnam.

He married Mary Cathleen Wolfinger on July 12, 1980, and had five children. Throughout his life, he put in 33 years of work at Bell South as a splicer.  

Timothy was a member of the Flathead 4-H Shooting Sports and the NRA. He was an avid fly fisherman, shooter and outdoorsman.  

He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria, father Patrick and brother Matthew.  

He is survived by his wife Mary, of Columbia Falls; daughters Nell Ward, of Columbia Falls, Rosemary Reynolds and husband Matt, of Kalispell, and Ann Ward, of Kalispell; sons Timothy Ward, of Columbia Falls, and Joseph Ward and wife Amber, of West Linn, Ore.; brother Dan Ward, of North Carolina; sister Mary Pat Brittain and husband Braxton, of North Carolina; and five grandchildren.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Kalispell on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
