The streak is over, but the winning ways continued for the Glacier Twins A team last week.

The Twins’ 12-game winning streak was snapped by the Kalispell Lakers AA team 12-11 in a 4-hour slugfest in Whitefish on June 10.

Vincent Smith went 3 for 6 with three RBIs for the Twins in the loss.

Two days later the Twins swept a doubleheader against the Libby Loggers. They won the first game 3-2 and the second game 3-0.

Twins pitcher Austin Robins got the win in the first game, and A.J. Wetsch threw a one-hitter in the second game for the shutout.

Wetsch had a no-hitter going into the fifth inning until Libby got a single off him. Wetsch also had an RBI double at the plate.

At the Prairie Cardinal Tournament in Post Falls, Idaho, on June 13-15, the Twins lost to the Spokane Crew, 8-5, but beat Moscow, Idaho 13-2 and Tri County 8-3.

Jesse Walburn went 3 for 3 at the plate and had four RBIs against Spokane, while James Ratzlaff went 2 for 2 with an RBI.

The Twins are scheduled to play a doubleheader against Mission Valley on June 18 in Polson and have a home game against Bitterroot on June 21.
