Twins gearing up for baseball season
The Glacier Twins will hold their annual meeting in the Grouse Mountain Lodge conference center in Whitefish on Wednesday, March 12, at 7 p.m.
This is a mandatory meeting for all new and returning players. They must bring at least one parent or guardian. Player handbooks, game schedules, travel and tourney information, pre-season conditioning and practices, fees, season passes and other information will be discussed and made available.
Twins coaches will be introduced. Bob Rupp returns as general manager of the Twins A team. He’ll be assisted by veteran coaches Jeremy Nielsen, Scott Murray and Kevin Slaybaugh.
The head coach for the Twins B team will be longtime assistant coach Seth Carr. Moving up from Babe Ruth, Treyson Hopkins will make his Twins coaching debut this season, reuniting with Carr as his assistant coach.
The Twins will kick off the 2014 season with their annual Black and White Game on April 20. The Twins will host the inaugural Glacier Twins Round Robin Tourney on April 26-27, with two teams from Missoula and both the Twins A and B teams participating.
