Dean’s list
Victoria Houle, of Columbia Falls, was named to fall 2013 dean’s list at Arizona State University, in Tempe, Ariz. Undergraduate students who earn 12 or more graded semester hours with a GPA of 3.50 or higher are eligible for the list.
Basic training
Navy Seaman Joshua Peterson, of Columbia Falls, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, in Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week program, Peterson completed classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. He is a 2006 graduate of Columbia Falls High School.
Basic training
Air Force Airman Donald Gimbel recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. He completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Gimbel earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is a 2009 graduate of Columbia Falls High School.
