C-Falls wins $2,000 in Les Schwab Shootout

Dead-eye shooting from the foul line and three-point range gave four Columbia Falls basketball players the edge in this year’s Les Schwab Shootout held at Whitefish High School on March 25.

Columbia Falls took first place out of six high school level teams from across the Flathead. The combined Wildkat and Wildcat team took home the $2,000 prize, which will go to the high school’s activities department.

For the Wildkats, senior Haley Belgarde made 17 free throws, and junior Ciera Finberg made 14 three-pointers.

For the Wildcats, junior Ty Morgan made 29 free throws, and senior Alex Presnell made 15 three-pointers.

The winner of the dunk contest was Jed Nagler, of Whitefish.
