Supports Pierson for Clerk & Recorder

I am writing this letter in support of Debbie Pierson, a Republican candidate for Flathead County Clerk & Recorder on the June 3 primary ballot.

When I was serving as Flathead County Commissioner, I had the opportunity to work with Debbie on various projects benefiting Flathead County. Debbie is well prepared to meet the challenges of this important office that maintains vital records for long-term reference, conducts all elections, maintains accurate and up-to-date land-ownership records, audits all financial transactions of the county and serves as the clerk to the county commissioners.

We need a well-qualified individual to fill this role. Our current Clerk & Recorder is retiring after many years of outstanding service in this office.

Debbie is a graduate of the University of Montana. She has an impressive career experience with great public service programs, including United Way, several key positions with the American Red Cross and as director of Development for Montana Special Olympics.

For the past seven years, Debbie has worked in the Flathead County Commissioners office in the courthouse, successfully writing and managing grants for the county.

Debbie is very capable of managing a staff of 17, preparing and maintaining a large expenditure budget. She is a proven leader, with the ability to recruit and train volunteers, which is a big part of conducting elections.

Debbie has a reputation for being a hard worker and a real professional. She is honest and dedicated to the betterment of Flathead County. We are very fortunate to have a candidate of Debbie’s caliber step up and run for this critical public office.
