Walsh spending

| May 21, 2014 10:12 AM

I just saw a new campaign ad from Sen. John Walsh in which he says he is going to cut the national debt and reduce spending. I firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future results, so let’s take a look at his record.

His first vote in the Senate raised the debt ceiling to infinity. He supports the $2.6 trillion government expansion of health care known as Obamacare.

The Montana Department of Military Affairs mishandled millions of dollars and was cited as doing a “poor job of managing federal grant money” under Walsh’s leadership.

He supported the Ryan-Murray budget that increased spending by $63 billion. The Bullock-Walsh budget increased Montana spending by 13 percent.

Walsh’s true story on spending is one of expansion, not reduction.
