GOP House debate in Kalispell
This year’s five Republican candidates for the U.S. House will meet for a final debate on Wednesday, May 28, at the Red Lion Hotel in Kalispell. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the debate will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
All Republican candidates for Montana’s lone House seat are expected to attend — state Sen. Elsie Arntzen, state Sen. Matt Rosendale, former state Sen. Corey Stapleton, Drew Turiano and former state Sen. Ryan Zinke.
Sponsored by Americans For Prosperity-Montana and the Glacial Forum, the debate will focus on economic issues such as taxation, regulation, deficit spending, energy development and health care.
Questions will be posed by a media panel including Daily Inter Lake editor Frank Miele, “Voices of Montana” host Aaron Flint and Montana Television Network reporter Sanjay Talwani. Moderator will be Joe Balyeat. Each candidate will be allowed to ask one question of another candidate.
Spectator seating is limited so people planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early and register online at www.thefinaldebate.eventbrite.com.
