Carolyn Slack

Carolyn June Slack, 71, passed away at her home in Columbia Falls on Oct. 13, 2014.

She was born Dec. 19, 1942, in Great Falls to William and Florence Crail.

She married John “Jack” Steven Slack in Sandpoint, Idaho. She and John shared a very memorable 54 years together enjoying each other’s company.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Sharon Biehl; brother David Crail; and sister BillyJo Crail.

She is survived by her husband; daughter Robin Grosswiler and husband Clinton, of Kalispell; daughter Jackie McFarland and husband Jeff, of Kalispell; daughter Shannon Young and husband Jim, of Olympia, Wash.; son John S. Slack Jr.; grandchildren Darcy, Trevor, Dieter, Kimberly, Nicole, Jesse, Ashley, Jeffrey, Jackie, Justina, Janelle and Jack; great grandchildren Tessa, Jager, Kiya and Rylee; brothers Don Crail, and Ron Crail and spouse Willie; brother-in-law Ray Biehl; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, on Fairview Cemetery Road in Kalispell, on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at 1 p.m.
