Flathead Valley Community College Theatre will continue its fall season with the production of an original show by two Columbia Falls artists.

“Shakespeare Makes a Scene” is the creation of Jeremias Johnson and Sally McBride, based on the works of William Shakespeare.

The two-person show starring Johnson and McBride will take the audience on an entertaining journey of “he said-she said,” exploring several of the sometimes witty, sometimes tumultuous and very often tragic relationships of some of Shakespeare’s male and female subjects.

Johnson happily admits he’s a Shakespeare geek. A seasoned performer, he studied at the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York and performed with Twelfth Night Theatre Company in Omaha, Neb., and at the Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival, the Old Creamery Theatre in Iowa and the Minneapolis Renaissance Festival.

McBride performed in a number of community theatre productions in Iowa, including children’s theatre. She played Lady Macbeth in the Kalispell Repertory Theatre production of “Macbeth.”

Performances will take place at the FVCC Theatre, in the Arts and Technology Building, on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19 and 20, at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
