Supports Mitchell

| September 23, 2014 6:25 AM

The election drum beat increases as we approach the final six weeks before choosing our next Flathead County Commissioner. It is refreshing to have a candidate in Phil Mitchell who is an “open book” on his beliefs and well-informed on the issues that affect all who live in the county.

Phil spends a lot of time meeting with both government and private individuals to become informed and garner feedback on key issues he will face when elected.

He has the willingness and ability to serve, as evident in his past record of good work on the Whitefish School Board and Whitefish City Council, to name just a few. His community volunteer deeds are many and legendary over the years. Those who really know Phil, respect him greatly for that attitude.

He is a good listener to his public and a principled thinker who gathers the facts for serious consideration before making decisions. He is high energy (a needed trait for a good public servant) and consistent in his efforts to do what he feels is best for the people he serves.

One never has to guess his position on an issue — he is a straight talker, a rare and treasured trait not found in everyone serving in public office today.

So why vote for Phil Mitchell for Flathead County Commissioner? He will give the commissioner’s job full measure and more for the next six years. He will deliver and be a significant asset to that office. Your vote would be appreciated.
