The Columbia Falls boys tennis team was blanked by Whitefish in its season opener last week.

No. 2 singles player Trevor Wick had a decent outing, taking Nathan Fauth to three sets. Wick won the first set, 6-4, but lost the next two, 4-6, 3-6, for the young Wildcat squad March 26 at home.

The girls were scheduled to play in an away match against the Lady Bulldogs, but the courts at Grouse Mountain Lodge were deemed too soggy for the match. It rained most of the day but stopped about three hours before match time.

The teams have spring break off this week and will resume play against Polson on April 9 at home. Match time is 2 p.m.
