Preschool program

The HERO Preschool program at Columbia Falls High School will hold a “Meet the Teens” event on Monday, April 20, from 12:50 to 1:20 p.m. Parents can register at that time. The preschool will run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from April 20 through June 2. Children must be 3 to 4 years old and toilet trained. Cost is $30 per child. For more information, call Lynne Thuesen at 406-892-5600 ext 233 or e-mail lthuesen@sd6.k12.mt.us.

School board election

The School District 6 Board of Trustees election will likely be canceled because no one has registered to challenge incumbents Jim Henjum and Jill Rocksund. The election won’t officially be called off until the end of the week, however, because people can still register as write-in candidates until April 10, School District 6 clerk Dustin Zuffelato said. If no one registers as a write-in, the election will be declared by acclamation.

Grad party

Parents of Columbia Falls Class of 2015 students will hold graduation party planning meetings in the high school foyer on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. All parents are encouraged to attend and help with fundraising and planning for a safe and enjoyable night for graduating seniors. For more information, call Kristine Bowman at 270-2097.

Graduate

Trevor Elmore, of Columbia Falls, received his master’s of business administration in management and strategy from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City during its 28th semi-annual commencement ceremony in Orlando, Fla. on Feb. 7. The university awarded 4,071 undergraduate and 2,657 graduate degrees.
