The Columbia Falls High School Alumni and Community Academic Endowment Spring Academic Arts Showcase fundraiser and auction party will take place at Truby’s Restaurant at Meadow Lake Resort on Thursday, April 30, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The showcase will feature works of art, including pieces by Sumio Harada, Allen Jimmerson and Colt Idol, and an array of collectibles, jewelry, desserts, distinctive crafts and gifts from community merchants for dining, services and recreational outings, as well as student art and entertainment. Last year, the event raised $13,000 for the endowment.

Started in 2013, the endowment seeks to build a sustainable source of community resources to fund projects and programs that expand educational opportunities, foster creativity and enhance academic experiences.

Tickets are $15 available at the high school office, RE/MAX Mountain View, NAPA of Columbia Falls or from endowment trustees Bill Dakin, Alyson Orem-Dorr, Denise Falkner, Tara Norick, George Scherman, Cami Stolte, Rich Thompson and Vicki Wirkus.

Donations can be made to CFHS Academic Endowment, c/o School District Six, P.O. Box 1259, Columbia Falls MT 59912.

The endowment is a 501c(3) nonprofit corporation and tax-deductible receipts will be provided for all donations.
