The Montana Outlaws Volleyball Club’s U16 Black team, coached by Dallas Shawback, won the U16 Fury Tournament in Stevensville on April 19.

Made up of girls from Columbia Falls, Whitefish and Glacier high schools, the team has been practicing since the middle of January and have played in tournaments in Spokane, Kalispell, Missoula and Stevensville. Future tournaments are scheduled for Missoula on May 3 and Kalispell on May 10.

The Outlaws Club has high school age players from Columbia Falls, Whitefish, Bigfork, Glacier, Stillwater Christian, Flathead Valley Homeschool and others.

“The goal is to teach young girls to love the sport of volleyball and make lasting friendships with their teammates no matter what school they attend,” Shawback said.
