Arena owners offer $10,000 for arson tips

The owners of the Majestic Valley Arena are offering a $10,000 award for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the Jan. 3 arson fire at the facility.

That offer is in addition to the Crimestoppers reward available for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the fire that damaged part of the arena.

The fire was started in the office and lobby area of the arena, causing “a very significant amount of damage to the building,” according to a news release from Crimestoppers.

The fire damage forced the cancellation of several rodeo events at the arena on U.S. 93 between Kalispell and Whitefish.

Anyone with information about the arena fire or any other crimes are encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 752-8477. All calls are anonymous and callers may be eligible for cash rewards.
