Brandon Richmond Turner of Bigfork plead not guilty to accusations of rape in Lake County Court Jan. 28 and will face a jury trial May 4, according to Lake County court records.

Turner appeared before District Court Judge James A. Manley with his defense attorney Britt Cotter of Polson, the records said.

Turner's omnibus hearing is March 18.

Prosecuting Attorney Steve Eschenbacher filed formal charges Jan. 20.

The alleged rape took place during late summer of 2013 and involved two unnamed Bigfork High School girls under the age of 16 years at the time of the attack, a Lake County Court affidavit said.

The alleged “sexual intercourse without consent” occurred shortly after sundown at a Flathead Lake cabin just before the 2013-2014 school year began, the affidavit said.

The victim did not speak of the incident until confronted about her symptoms of depression.
