The Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theater invites students in grades 6 through 12 to audition Feb. 24, for the cast of the high energy rockin’ and rollin’ musical “Camp Rock – the Musical.”

This summer at camp was supposed to be all about the music and having the time of their lives. But the new, flashy Camp Star, across the lake, now threatens Camp Rock’s very existence. To keep the doors open, Mitchie steps up, rallies her fellow Camp Rockers, and gets them into top shape for the ultimate showdown, This new musical based on the hit Disney Channel Original Movies Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, will fire up the stage with over a dozen songs, including “This Is Me,” “Can’t Back Down,” “It’s On” and “We Rock.”

Auditions will be held at the Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre Afterschool Arts Center, located at 833 Grand Ave, on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 4:30-6 p.m for 6th and 7th grades and 6-8 p.m. for 8th through 12th grades.

This production calls for a large cast; 20 speaking roles and a medium chorus of camp rockers. It costs nothing to audition but there is a $40 participation fee if you are cast in the show. Students should prepare a 30 second monologue or short selection from another play or book, and plan to learn and sing something at the audition. Students should wear comfortable shoes they can move in

Not interested in stage work but would like to be involved? The Children’s Theatre needs help with the technical parts – building sets, props, costumes, lights and sound. Parental and student assistance is welcome.  To sign-up and for more information, email bpct@bigforksummerplayhouse.com, call 837-4886 or check our website at www.bigforksummerplayhouse.com
