Farmers' market
The inaugural year of the new Columbia Falls Community Market next to O'Brien's Liquor & Wine is ongoing through Sept. 24 every Thursday from 5-7:30 p.m. The market will feature locally grown produce and plants from over seven farmers at every market. Handmade local crafts, artists, food caterers and local micro-brewed beers. Local musicians will perform on stage in The Coop behind the store at every market. Lions concert
The Bavarian Echoes, with polkas, waltzes and other German music will perform at the bandstand at Marantette Park as part of the Columbia Falls Lions Club summer concert series. Music starts at 7 p.m. Donations of $3 per person or $5 per family are requested. The audience is encouraged to bring chairs or blankets.
Wildcat fundraiser
The North Valley Eagles Club in Columbia Falls will hold an ice cream social on Saturday, June 20, from 1 to 6 p.m. as a fundraiser for the Columbia Falls High School's Wildcat Endowment Fund. All ages are invited.
Summer camps
The Farming For The Future Academy located at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls will offer free summer camps for kids with or without disabilities. Camps include Shave a Sheep Camp on June 22-26, Rabbit Wagons on July 6-10, Dairy Days on July 20-24 and Build a Birdhouse on Aug. 3-7. Senior picnic
The Flathead County Agency on Aging will host its annual Older Americans Day picnic for seniors 60-or-older at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell on Friday, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and doors opening at 10 a.m. For more information, call 758-5730.
Bible school
A vacation Bible school will be hosted by St. Richard's Catholic, Our Savior's Lutheran and Columbia Falls United Methodist Churches at Columbia Falls United Methodist Church, 117 Second Street West, on June 22-26 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Camp counselors from Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp will lead the program for children entering grades 1-6.
