Peddles and Paths
Families are invited to pedal and paddle their way along the North Fork on June 20 to raise money for the Gateway to Glacier Trail. The Pedal and Paddle for Paths event will raise money for a bicycle and pedestrian path connecting Columbia Falls to Bad Rock Canyon, part of a larger effort to construct a trail from the Flathead Valley to Glacier National Park.
Beginning June 20, at 1:30 p.m., bikers and river floaters of all ages can meet at The Coop in Columbia Falls for a bike ride up the North Fork Road to Blankenship Bridge. After an ice cream break, Glacier Raft Co. will guide participants down the river and back to The Coop, where refreshments will be served along with food from Teakettle Cafe's food truck.
Bikes will be shuttled back from the bridge.
The event costs $25 for adults, $15 for children under 18 and is free for children under 8.
Registration closes June 18 at 6 p.m., and can be made at Freedom Bank, the Hungry Horse Liquor Store or online at www. gatewaytoglaciertrail. com.
