Lake County road levy much needed

Call me crazy; I was actually excited to see the mail ballot to upgrade the county road department equipment. While I rarely support special levies, the additional funding requested is greatly needed and long overdue. My annual tax for county road services is less than $100.00. For this amount, the county road serving my property is plowed and maintained many times each year. Those who pay for private snowplowing services recognize that, for snowplowing alone, the current annual road fee is very low. Both town and country dwellers benefit from a well-maintained county road system.?Sometimes property owners have to do the mundane thing like shingling the roof or replacing the furnace. This is one of those moments. I urge voters to do the unglamorous but responsible thing and support the county road department special levy. ??
