Velma "Peggy" Armstrong

Velma "Peggy" Grace Armstrong, 79, passed away on June 11, 2015 at   North Valley Hospital in Whitefish.

Velma was born Jan. 30, 1936 in Otto, Pennsylvania to Caroline and Alfred Smith and was raised in Great Valley, New York.

She worked as a mother, cook, baker, cleaner and certified nursing assistant.

On Feb. 4, 1955 she married Bill Armstrong in Great Valley and now rejoins him.

Peggy was an avid wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sewer, quilter, sunbather, hiker, bike rider, berry picker and fisherwoman.

Peggy is survived by her children, Aleisa and Rick Stevens, Peggy Peterson, Bill and Dee Armstrong and Martin Armstrong; a sister Fay Morton; grandchildren Miranda, Leslee, Carol, Lauren, Marty, Steven, Angelica, Shannon and Heather; and great grandchildren, Derek, Brooklyn, Kaitlyn, Easton, Cole, Ava and Grace.

Celebration of life is at 10 a.m. July 11, 2015 at the Hungry Horse Elementary School.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the  Teakettle Quilt Guild children programs via Teakettle Quilt Guild, PO Box 2424, Columbia Falls, MT 59912
