Canyon Trail fundraiser

Many thanks to all for the successful and fun Story Slam at last Friday night’s fundraiser for the Gateway to Glacier Trail.

Special thanks to Joren Underdahl and the Montana Veterans Home staff for the use of the Chapel. Thanks to our great Columbia Falls restaurants, who supplied the event with the great gourmet soup — Three Forks Grille, Cimarron Café, Montana Coffee Traders, Earth Angel Organics, The Backroom, Teakettle Café, The Palette Cafe, Basecamp Café, Laurie’s Deli and Tien’s Place.

Thanks to Great Northern Brewery and O’Brien’s Liquor and Wine. Great prize donations for the winning stories were provided by Great Northern Raft Company, Xantera Parks and Recreation, Aaron Aldrich Photography, Truby’s At Meadow Lake, Loula’s Cafe, Freedom Bank, Glacier Cyclery, The Spa at Meadow Lake, Greg Fortin, Glacier Distilling, Meadow Lake Resort, Glacier Raft Company and Sukey Pfirman.

Thanks to all the pie makers — lots of huckleberry this year. Thanks to all of the wonderful speakers, volunteers and support that everyone gives to complete this asset to our community.
