Vikings and Valkyries take second at district track meet

The Bigfork Vikings and Valkyries placed second at the 7B district track meet in Eureka on Saturday.

Tyler Iverson won first place in the shot put and the discus. Carson Cantrell was first in pole vault and the 300 hurdles, and second in the 110 hurdles. Logan Morley won the 800 and Matt Farrier won the 400. Tyler Piazzola was first in the javelin and fourth in both the long jump and the triple jump.

Makena Morley won the 800 and was second in the 3,200 behind Bryn Morley. Mattison McAnally won the 300 hurdles and was second in the pole vault. Gabby Eaton won the pole vault and was third in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump.

The Vals also won both the 400 and 1,600 relays.

The Vikes and Vals will travel to Missoula on Friday and Saturday for the divisional tournament at Dornblaser. 

The state meet is May 22 and 23 in Kalispell.
