In 1984, after traveling for some time, they happened across a campground for sale in West Glacier, which they bought. George, Kathleen and Gus operated Glacier Campground for more than 30 years.
Over the years, George was active in the Flathead Snowmobile Association and enjoyed many adventures in the backcountry of Colorado and Montana on his snowmobile. Through this association, he made many friends.
