Dead grizzly found
State wildlife officials are investigating the death of a grizzly bear that was shot and found last Friday along Montana 83 nine miles north of Seeley Lake.
A passerby found the bear, which was brought to a Missoula veterinarian, who determined the bear was killed by a gunshot. The bear also had a wound on its back, similar to being hit by a vehicle, according to the person who found the bear.
Three other grizzlies died after getting hit by cars in the last two weeks on Bigfork-area highways. The grizzly was taken to the FWP lab in Bozeman for further evaluation.
