Wanner takes third at Ronan invite
The Columbia Falls boys took seventh while the girls took fourth at the Ronan Invitational cross-country meet last week.
Sage Wanner was the top runner for the boys, taking third with a time of 16:20.31. On the girls' side Genevieve DeLorme took 13th with a time of 21:36.29 to break the top 15. Raina Crowell ran a 21:45 for 17th and Hayley Peacock and Raychel Hoerner also ran well, said coach Richard Menicke. Menicke said DeLorme's race was impressive because she was sick just before the start.
He said freshman Cortnee Anello also had her best race of the year.
On the boys' side, Glenn Morden and Winfield West clocked 18:14 and 18:29 respectively. Their places weren't available.
Corvallis won the boys and girls titles.
The teams travel to the Mountain West Classic in Missoula this weekend.
