GIRLS BASKETBALL: Bigfork comes up short against Columbia Falls

BIGFORK — Class A Columbia Falls outscored Class B Bigfork in every quarter but the second to collect a 54-42 nonconference victory over the Valkyries.

Kiara Burlage led Columbia Falls, and all scorers, with 19 points. Lana Berg netted 16 points for Bigfork.

The Wildkats, one of the top teams in Class A, led just 22-17 at halftime and 39-31 after three quarters.

Miranda Campbell added 11 for the Vals in a losing effort.
